Charlie Lewis, Jr. is an award-winning Associate Broker at Compass and a distinguished lifestyle real estate agent. He’s authored his debut book titled “No Apologies.: Love the Way You Live, at Any Age”.
Since launching his real estate career in 2005, Charlie has closed more than $600-million in New York City residential sales and has placed in the top 4% of agents. Charlie’s work has been showcased on HGTV’s Selling New York, WABC, WNBC, and featured in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, New York Post, and Essence Magazine.
In the Netflix show “Forever", the character "Uncle Charlie" is based on Charlie. He is the real-life friend of show creator Mara Brock Akil. The character was inspired by Charlie’s deep love for his community and alma mater, Howard University.

Charlie is a key member of the Trustee Candidate Identification Advisory Council (TCIAC) at Howard University, where he helps nominate future trustees, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Howard University Alumni Association (HUAA). A proud Howard alumnus, Charlie’s leadership has spanned multiple roles, including Past President of HUAA, overseeing a network of 86,000 alumni. He previously served as Northeast Region Chair and President of the Howard University Alumni Club of Greater New York.
In 2016, Charlie launched the “Love the Way You Live” brand, extending his influence beyond real estate to inspire lifestyle design rooted in authenticity and joy. Charlie is committed to helping people not only find homes, but to transform their lives in the process.
Before real estate, Charlie held senior roles in branding and marketing, serving as an executive at Digitas, a global digital agency, and later founding Mindshock, a strategy and branding consultancy.
His board roles also include Mental Health First Connects and the Harlem Fine Arts Show. Charlie has supported the arts and community development as a former board member of the Ronald K. Brown/Evidence Dance Company and Brooklyn Community Services.
Charlie holds a BBA in Finance from Howard University and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
